When our first son was born, my husband and I knew we wanted him to be bilingual. He was exposed to Spanish at an early age and was pretty proficient by the time the preschool years arrived. We were fortunate enough to have a friend mention a new preschool in our area, just at the time we were searching for a school. We toured it and fell in love. He started at Little Big Minds Spanish Immersion Preschool when he was three and graduated last year as a bilingual five-year-old. Our younger son started this year and is on his way to being bilingual, too. I cannot say enough positive things about our school and seeing our children learn another language. I know we can't always make the right parenting choices, but this was a good one! It is rewarding to read articles such as this to solidify our commitment. If it is a possibility for a child, I highly recommend exposure to another language!
